A tray or a plate
Flour but to make a permanent crater use plaster of Paris
Four different sized rocks
Method
1. In the plate or tray smooth out the flour so it is about 4 cm deep
2. Put your rocks in order from biggest to smallest.
3. From about a metre, let the first rock drop.
4. Lift it carefully out of the flour.
You have made your crater!
Repeat this with all the different rocks.
Observations
The higher the rocks dropped from didn't make a bigger crater.
Dropping the rocks in sand was different from dropping it in flour because it was a different material.
